MoGo is excited to be working with the City of Detroit this summer on the Detroit Bike Challenge. The Detroit Bike Challenge is a program launched by the City of Detroit’s Office of Mobility Innovation, with the intention of encouraging and increasing biking in the city.
Throughout the warm season, there will be 5 challenges: two, month-long challenges in May and October, and three mini-challenges between June and September. While there are prizes and incentives for riding, it’s not really about who can ride the most; it’s about encouraging as many people as possible to ride for health, happiness, and fun.
With the May and June challenges behind us, here’s what you can look forward to over the rest of the summer and into the early fall:

In addition to these upcoming mini-challenges, there will be a full month challenge in October, there are ways to get your workplace and co-workers involved, and MoGo will be holding smaller events during each challenge period to help riders boost their numbers! If you have any questions about the Detroit Bike Challenge, reach out to Sherelle Streeter, or take a look at the Detroit Bike Challenge home page and FAQ, which have details on how to create an account, log rides, and anything else you might need to know along the way. Happy riding!
